Who
He Is:
Craig
D'Andrea is a 22 year old newcomer to the fingerstyle guitar
community, but don't
let his age fool you! In 2006 Craig placed 3rd in the fingerstyle
competition at the Canadian Guitar Festival in Odessa, Ontario.
Craig's
fresh take on song structure and groove as well as his personal,
yet accessible,
melodies have found him loyal fans and a recording contract with
CandyRat
Records. Craig shows technique and ability beyond his years on
his debut release"
Crazy is Catching" which was released on March 25, 2007.
This fall Craig will
start touring as he tries to make his mark on the guitar world
and its fans. He
will be joining esteemed guitarists Andy McKee, Don Ross, Stephen
Bennett, and
Antoine Dufour for shows in Quebec, the Midwest, and East Coast.

Guitars:
Like most professionals and guitar
hobbyists alike Craig owns a good number of
guitars (but not too many). The most recent addition to his
collection is an
Andrew White Model F with Brazilian Rosewood back/sides and
a Sitka Spruce top.
This guitar is Craig's main studio and stage instrument.
It's more than likely
that another Andrew White will enter the line up in a few
years.
Amplification:
Craig
is an official endorser for K&K pickups and has a Quantum
Trinity outfitted
in his White. The combination of precise pickups and precise
soundboards is an
amazing thing. Craig does not use many effects aside from
some slight reverbs
now an again because the guitar sounds too good to mess
with.
Strings
With
all of the strings on the market it is hard to make a decision
about which
ones to play. Craig has tried them all and is now using
John pearse and Black Diamond medium gauge
strings. When Craig runs out and can't
find those he uses
Pearse Bronze wound mediums.
Guitar Recommendation(s)
"I
recommend playing guitar that you like and feel comfortable
with. A guitar is
an extension of your person and helps convey your emotions so
make sure it's
special to you. It should look amazing and have an exceptional
tone at the same
time. Try and buy a guitar that is built with the same passion
you are going to
play it with...I guess I just described an Andrew White Guitar."
